Joshua Schultz is an architect with expertise in sustainable design and historic preservation, holding advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson University. He founded The Bauhaus, an award-winning studio inspired by the avant-garde Bauhaus Movement, merging art and architecture. Joshua's work includes leading contributions such as Walnut Street in Pasadena, Southern California’s first net-zero affordable housing project. His research on building materials has been widely published and cited, including by the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. He also developed Dalia, an app for real-time building materials data, featured in the Humans of AI series. Joshua is a Registered Architect in New York and Pennsylvania, and actively contributes to the community through Pasadena Heritage and the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.
